The NHL trade deadline is March 7th, and Philadelphia Flyers general manager Daniel Brière is already holding his cards close to his chest. It's clear, however, that the Flyers are going to be big sellers, asking for high returns and fully assessing value before making any moves. This is smart for a team prioritizing long-term Stanley Cup potential over immediate but shallow good numbers and game wins. That said, it is wholly uninteresting and even boring for the most important player in any such transaction--the viewer.
When it comes time to express your dissatisfaction with the final decisions, or even to put some pressure on him before that point, here are ten derogatory terms for groups Danny belongs to that can add a little flair to your hate mail.
10: Frozen Frog or Snowfrog
A good, classic slur for French Canadians derived from "Frog" for the French.
9: Poutine
Yeah, it's a bit overused, but it's as insulting as ever.
8: Pepper
A slur originating from French Canadians' love of the Pepsi beverage. Danny definitely looks like he enjoys a can of the Coca Cola alternative.
7: Has-Been
Let's face it--Danny's past his prime. If he wasn't, he'd be out on the ice.
6: Cheese-eating Surrender Monkey
A slur for the French originating from The Simpsons, apparently.
5: Fruit or Fruitcake
I'm not gonna tell you that Danny Brière is gay, but he's from Quebec, which is basically the same thing.
4: Queeb
Self-explanatory term for those from Quebec.3: Peasouper
Another Quebecois slur. Something about this one stings a little more.
2: Jean-Claude
This is just his middle name, but it sounds like it might be a slur for French people.
1: Cuck
Can never go wrong with this one.
Whatever your slur of choice may be, make sure to say it with your full chest. Make your voice heard. Remember: you know better than he does.
